Thanks to all my friends for the thoughts and support for my friend Ceci. What a special night we had on July 5th. Ceci came home from the hospital late in the week and was able to come to our house to watch the fight. It was great to have her and her family over and we settled in for a great night. This was One More Rounds first chance to watch Canadian Patrick Cote in the octagon. Our design team came up with an incredible shirt for Patrick.

Patrick was great and let us design the shirt with Ceci’s new star logo on it. I wanted to surprise Ceci and let her know how much everyone is behind her. This was a very pivotal fight for Patrick Cote as the winner of this fight was guaranteed a shot at Anderson Silva and the middle weight title. Never did I imagine Patrick was going to be thinking of Ceci when he was entering the Octagon. But as Patrick entered he touched the shoulder and the star to give a shout out to Ceci. We all cheered!

The fight was a split decision and with Patrick on his knees he won a split decision and a shot at the title. Patrick talked about how tough the fight was and then talked about Ceci and her fight. Patrick told the packed house that life is beautiful and keep fighting. We all screamed and were touched by the moment.
Later that night Patrick talked to our marketing VP Jim Baltutis and mentioned how Ceci had motivated him to fight so hard. Thanks Patrick it was a special moment and you are a special athlete. We also have some new fighters on the One More Round team. On the left is Dr. Jose Almeda and on the right is Dr. Yuri Genyk. These two fighters battled through a grueling 12 hour surgery for Ceci. Dr. Genyk emerged drenched in sweat but never gave up.
When the two surgeons were given the shirts they were excited and loved the message of One More Round. Dr. Almeda and Dr. Genyk are two of the best in the field of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic cancer.

We are thrilled to have these two skilled surgeon’s on our team. Just to keep everyone up to speed, One More Round will be making a donation from all sales of our fight shirts to PanCan. PanCan is the charity for pancreatic cancer and does not receive the funding most other cancers charities receive. Hey, that gives us something to work on. So once again thanks to all my friends and how about a special shout out to Patrick Cote!
